About the Job

As an Academic SEN Tutor, you will work closely with students who require additional support to succeed academically. You will develop and implement individualized learning plans, provide one-on-one support, and collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure that students receive the best possible education.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Salary: $52,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans for students.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students in the classroom and online.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure student success.
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure effective support.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and adjust learning plans as needed.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
  • State teaching certification or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
