Cygnet Health Care is seeking an exceptional Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Cygnet Lodge Brighouse. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing comprehensive psychiatric assessments and treatment plans for patients
  • Leading multidisciplinary team meetings and contributing to the development of our services
  • Supervising junior staff and providing guidance and support as needed
  • Participating in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Be fully GMC registered and MBBS (or equivalent) qualified
  • Be registered on the specialist register (CCT/CESR), Section 12, and AC Status
  • Have experience and knowledge in adult psychiatry and mental health diagnosis
  • Be knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Capacity
  • Be a first-rate communicator who can interview, assess, and treat patients and write clear, comprehensive medical notes
  • Be committed to continued professional development
  • Be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Be a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) or equivalent
