About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing and Partnerships Specialist to join our team at Northampton Business Directory. As a key member of our fleet department, you will play a vital role in helping us order and deliver new vehicles while building and managing customer and supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Communicate effectively with VWFS|FLEET customers and vehicle suppliers to identify vehicle requirements.
  2. Liaise with nominated dealers to obtain quotations and issue vehicle purchase orders via EbbonDacs.
  3. Progress vehicle orders weekly, keeping systems and customers updated.
  4. Handle outbound calls efficiently, responding to customer queries in a professional manner.
  5. Communicate with internal and external customers through various channels, including email, phone, and face-to-face interactions.
  6. Ensure business-critical reports are carried out and kept up to date, providing customers with updates on in-life order queries.
  7. Awareness of automotive products provided in the UK, including Contract Hire and Salary Sacrifice, is advantageous.
  8. Validate documentation to ensure all relevant information is in place for correct order placement.
  9. Carry out relevant risk checks on new dealer suppliers, supporting the senior in the setup through the BPDD process with Risk Control.
  10. Track and process new orders, raising new business enquiries and orders to our dealer network.
About You
  1. You have a good knowledge of VW Group Brand products and other manufacturers.
  2. You hold GCSE Maths and English at level C or above.
  3. You can communicate effectively both in writing and verbally at all levels.
  4. You possess advanced Excel skills.
  5. You have attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and can work under pressure.
  6. You have knowledge and understanding of UK Fleet leasing solutions, which is advantageous.
  7. You are a team player with the ability to work under pressure and at times alone to meet strict deadlines.
  8. You are confident and customer-focused in communicating both by telephone and face-to-face.
  9. You have high-level customer service experience and can demonstrate the use of initiative to aid departmental productivity.
