Head of Employee Relations

ClearBank Ltd is seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Employee Relations to join our Human Resources Team. Reporting to the CHRO, this role will be responsible for developing and implementing employee relations strategies, policies, and procedures to promote a positive work environment and enhance employee engagement.

  1. Owning the ER strategy and approach for ClearBank, ensuring that processes are fair, pragmatic, and reflect the culture and values of the bank.
  2. Developing and implementing employee relations strategies, policies, and procedures.
  3. Building an ER infrastructure for managers, including guides, toolkits, and templates to empower them to own and drive their own processes.
  4. Delivering training and coaching on employee relations topics to increase capability and drive a prevention vs cure approach to ER.
  5. Providing guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  6. Owning the reporting and trend analysis of employee relations activities.
  7. Using data-driven insight to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance employee satisfaction and engagement.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified employment lawyer with in-depth knowledge and application of UK employment law.
  2. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  3. Experience in employee relations, with demonstrable experience in managing complex/high-risk cases.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  5. A self-starter with the ability to drive the agenda across the business for employee relations.
