Job Summary:

Select Appointments are seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to join their client in Lincoln on an interim basis.

This temporary role will commence in August and conclude in October 2022.

The Role:

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on finance professional who is comfortable working with various areas of finance and collaborating with non-financial academic colleagues and other professional services colleagues.

The successful candidate will possess effective business partnering skills, derived from experience in communicating financial reports, negotiation, and analysis of complex information.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide detailed, accurate, and timely financial information to enhance decision-making and support strategic initiatives.
  2. Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts information.
  3. Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of financial processes and finance software.
  4. Utilize strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
  5. Build strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
Requirements:

AAT level or part-qualified CCAB accountant (or relevant equivalent experience).

37 hours per week.

Ability to work proactively, using own initiative, and with minimum supervision.

Experience of adapting own skills to new circumstances and problem-solving with the ability to manipulate and interpret financial data.

Experience of working within higher or further education and managing, mentoring, or developing the skills of a team of staff.
