About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Midwife to join our team at Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS FT. As a Midwife, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, evidence-based care to expectant mothers and their families throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the needs of women, partners, families, and carers, and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Deliver and evaluate standards of evidence-based midwifery care, ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction and outcomes.
  • Provide full antenatal care, including parenting classes, clinical examinations, and screening, to support women and their families throughout their pregnancy journey.
  • Identify high-risk pregnancies and develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure the best possible outcomes for mothers and babies.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 12 months paid experience as a Midwife within the last 2 years.
  • Compliance with NMC Professional Registration and ongoing commitment to staying up-to-date with current nursing practices.
