Community Midwife

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Midwife to join our team at Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Community Midwife, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to mothers and babies in the community, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will have the chance to develop your skills and expertise in community midwifery. You will be working in a 24-cot Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, level 3, within the Cheshire and Mersey Neonatal Network, providing care for infants and their families from 22 weeks and above.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a defined group of patients, under the guidance of senior staff.
- Participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team in developing and maintaining a system of family-centred care.
- Advise on the promotion of health, recognising the physical, emotional, and social situations that may influence the needs of the mother, baby, and family.
- Take all reasonable measures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the babies and their families.
- Where responsible for the custody and administration of drugs, carry this out according to Wirral University Teaching Hospital Trust Policies and Procedures.
- Participate in Clinical Supervision.
- Participate in effective communication with all staff in matters affecting patient care.
- Provide accurate verbal or written information relating to patient care to other members of the multi-disciplinary team.

- Current 1st level RSCN/RN/Midwife.
- Degree in Nursing.
