About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our client's rapidly expanding team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both civils and build work, with experience in commercial reporting, contract administration, and project management.

  1. Prepare and present accurate financial reports to stakeholders, including forecasting and project performance analysis.
  2. Collaborate with the operational team to develop End Life Forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  3. Maintain effective relationships with clients, providing timely and professional communication.
  4. Manage contractual agreements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  5. Provide expert advice on contractual matters to the project delivery team, ensuring seamless project execution.
  6. Source and procure subcontractors, negotiating terms and conditions to ensure value for money and minimal risk.
  7. Oversee payment and debt management processes, ensuring prompt settlement of invoices.
  8. Conduct post-project reviews and feedback sessions with the T & E team, identifying areas for improvement.
  9. PARTICIPATE IN INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL MEETINGS WITH CLIENTS.
Key Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  1. A strong understanding of NEC and JCT contracts, with ability to apply knowledge in real-world scenarios.
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Negotiation skills, allowing you to secure favourable outcomes for the company.
  4. Organisational and time management skills, ensuring efficient project delivery.
  5. Customer service skills, prioritising client satisfaction and needs.
  6. Ability to multitask and work under pressure, maintaining composure in high-stress situations.
Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  1. A HNC or higher qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  2. Significant experience in the construction industry, with a proven track record in quantity surveying.
  3. Able to understand and respond to complex contractual issues, ensuring smooth project progression.
What We Offer

In return for your expertise, we offer a competitive salary of up to £55,000 per annum, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including car and pension provision.
