You will also be responsible for building up the syndicated loan portfolio and market track record for the Bank's syndication business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the team leader in arranging, structuring, book-running, distribution, and participation of syndication transactions within the EMEA region.
  • Build up the syndicated loan portfolio and market track record for the Bank's syndication business.
  • Coordinate the branches in carrying out marketing activities and building up relationships with market peers and clients.
  • Assist with market sounding and produce syndication opinion and liquidity as well as underwriting analysis.
  • Conduct and coordinate in-depth analysis on potential business opportunities, including business analysis, sector analysis, debt structuring, and pricing analysis.
  • Coordinate the branches to initiate and complete the credit process of transactions.
  • Assist the team to lead and/or coordinate the branches in finance documents negotiation and review.
  • Coordinate and provide oversight for the branches in execution and completion of KYC process and drawdown preparation.
  • Manage the syndicated loan portfolio in line with the Bank's policies.

Requirements:

  • Degree educated in Finance, Economics, Business, or other equivalent.
  • Relevant professional qualification is advantageous.
  • Solid experience in loan syndication with an established network of connections across investors active in syndicated lending.
  • Proven track record of managing the whole syndication process and developing syndication relationships.
  • Experience within Financial Services industry, focusing on client relationship development and syndication transaction origination.
  • Proven track record in similar department/business team, ideally has experience working in both origination and distribution (covering primary and secondary syndicated loan markets).
  • Sound background in credit analysis.
  • An ability to navigate around and understand a loan document, both bilateral and syndicated, with an up-to-date understanding of LMA documentation.
  • A working knowledge of Debt Domain functionality to co-ordinate syndications and a good working knowledge of Dealogic and LoanConnector.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Team player.
