Learning Support Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a Psychology Graduate to work as a Learning Support Specialist in a Specialist School in Slough.

About the Role

As a Learning Support Specialist, you will work with children with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language needs, sensory processing disorders, physical disabilities, and communication difficulties.

You will help identify triggers and barriers to learning, as well as implementing your knowledge of psychological theory and apply it in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Learn about the cognitive, behavioural, and emotional needs of each student and how to attend to these.
  2. Help identify triggers and barriers to learning.
  3. Implement your knowledge of psychological theory in the classroom.
  4. Ensure every pupil feels safe and supported in school.
  5. Help make the classroom a fun and exciting place.

Requirements

We are looking for a Psychology Graduate with a passion for special education and a desire to gain experience working with vulnerable children.

Any previous experience working with children would be beneficial, but not essential.
