Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer with mechanical or electrical bias to join our dynamic team. As a key member, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining packaging equipment on-site, diagnosing and repairing faults, conducting preventive maintenance, and providing technical support to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site installation, commissioning, and maintenance of packaging equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in packaging machinery
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Provide technical support and training to clients on proper equipment usage
  • Complete accurate service reports and maintain detailed documentation

Requirements:

  • Field Service Experience: Hands-on technical experience with electro-mechanical systems, ideally within the packaging industry or a similar field. This includes roles such as electrical or electronic technician, field service repair of machinery, or maintenance repair.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in fault diagnosis, particularly with PLC logic, and experience working with machine and electrical parts, components, and assembly
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a field service role, preferably in the packaging industry
  • Strong electrical/mechanical technical skills, including the ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel within the region
  • HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary range of £35,000 - £42,000 + bonus, home-based door-to-door work with overtime paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate, a vehicle provided, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
