Job Title: Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment and management of children and adolescents with complex mental health needs.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant to work in a dynamic and innovative team, contributing to the development of new models of service delivery and improving outcomes for children and adolescents. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, behaviour analysts, and paediatricians, to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment and management of children and adolescents with complex mental health needs
  • Contribute to the development of new models of service delivery and improving outcomes for children and adolescents
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families
  • Participate in medical audit and quality assurance activities to ensure high-quality care
  • Contribute to the training and supervision of junior staff and other disciplines
Requirements
  • Primary Medical Degree
  • Full GMC Registration with a Licence to Practice
  • Inclusion on the Specialist Register or CCT expected within 6 months of interview date
  • Section 12 MHA Approved
  • Approved Clinician status
  • An additional postgraduate qualification of relevance to working with children and adolescents
