Job Overview

Sodexo is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Manager to oversee the food and beverage operations at Oasis Academy Enfield. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, service, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the replenishment of food and the dismantling of work areas at the end of service.
  • Develop, mentor, and train the kitchen team to ensure they are equipped to deliver exceptional service.
  • Control labor, food, and stock expenses to optimize costs and improve efficiency.
  • Manage and optimize all costs under your control to ensure the highest possible return on investment.
  • Ensure uniformity in food and service standards across all areas of the kitchen.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the needs and preferences of our customers.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in cooking on a large scale, with a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Previous experience in staff supervision or line management, with a strong focus on developing and mentoring team members.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Basic food handling skills certification, including NVQ Level 2 and Level 2 Food Safety Certificate.
