The Port of Dover is a leading international ferry port and a vital gateway for the movement of people and trade. The port is also an award-winning cruise port, delivering world-class travel and visitor experiences to the most prestigious cruise lines.

In this role, you will manage a range of projects designed to deliver on our Port Wide Energy Strategy. These projects will be designed to protect our existing operations and utilities network, and also seek to modernise and improve capacity through bringing in new HV capacity to the port. The projects will be delivered in a live operational Port environment and will require a collaborative approach to be adopted between multiple stakeholders, both internal and external to the Port estate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver utility infrastructure projects from inception through to feasibility, design and implementation to project completion utilising the NEC 3 suite of contracts
  • Collaborate with Contractors, Consultants and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
  • Produce work/product breakdown structures and maintain project programmes
  • Review and understand CAD drawings and technical specifications
  • Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and relevant Health & Safety Legislation

Requirements:

  • Project Management qualification from APM or alternative relevancy professional organisation or demonstrable project management experience and a willingness to progress towards APM
  • Proven experience (minimum of 3 years) of managing and delivering utility infrastructure projects
  • Good user skills in MS Office 365 and MS Project
  • Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle
