Delivery Specialist

The Opportunity:
Avantor is seeking a skilled Delivery Specialist to support the GMP warehouse, shipping, and sample dispatch service operations. In this role, you will take ownership of receiving, locating, and storing materials in line with documented procedures and inventory management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, locate, and store materials in line with documented procedures and inventory management systems.
- Sample and dispense Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) meeting customer requirements and following SHE procedures.
- Provide a high level of customer service, actively engaging with the science community to understand their business requirements.
- Adhere to GMP at all times.
About the Team:
You will be part of a close-knit team of five associates, based across two business areas: receiving samples from scientists and sending them to recipients worldwide. The team is diverse, with various backgrounds and experiences, and is supported by an experienced leadership team.
What We're Looking For:
- GCSE or equivalent secondary school qualification.
- 1+ years' experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or customer service in a logistics environment.
- Solid understanding and experience in shipping, inventory, or purchasing.
- Spill containment training, IATA, DOT, IMDG, and OSHA Right to Know is desirable.
- High regard for safety, quality, and adherence to protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Good IT skills required (including Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook).
