Head of Estates Manager

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in the Highlands, is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Head of Estates. This permanent position offers a competitive salary of £45,089 - £52,806 per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the organisation's estate, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and legislation.
• Develop and implement the Estate Strategy, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
• Lead and develop the Estates and Maintenance teams, fostering a customer-focused service.
• Oversee the management of the Estates department budget, ensuring value-for-money.
• Liaise with stakeholders, submitting regular reports to the Funder's Group and the Developments Trust.
• Comply with contract tendering procedures, working closely with procurement.
• Represent the organisation on estate matters, maintaining relationships with key external stakeholders.
Essential Skills:
• Relevant professional qualification in buildings or estates management, or equivalent experience.
• Thorough knowledge of current legislation affecting property and estates.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, including experience of leading and developing teams.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a range of people at all levels.
• Strong financial management and budget skills, including experience of procurement and ensuring value-for-money.
Desirable Skills:
• Recognised qualification in Health and Safety Management.
• Gaelic language skills or willingness to learn.
