Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced High Voltage Project Delivery Expert to join our team at UK Power Networks. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and driven individual to contribute to the delivery of high-profile projects across the DNO and private sectors.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering projects in the 33kV electrical infrastructure sector, working closely with our existing project team to provide engineering support for critical activities. The role involves capital programme and NAMP projects, as well as electrical infrastructure works generated from long-term operation and maintenance contracts.

You will work independently to manage and prioritise a varied workload, collaborating with HV/LV control teams, field staff, and customers to ensure successful project outcomes. Your expertise in distribution systems, risk assessment, and quality assurance will be essential in driving project success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure safety management throughout all responsibilities.
  • Responsible for delivery of all construction, maintenance, and fault works to time, cost, and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all procedures and work to a high standard of quality.
  • Daily planning, coordination, and real-time responsibility for the efficient utilisation of resources.
  • Collaborate with HV/LV control - submission of HV/LV switching schedules, complete HV/LV network operations in accordance with distribution safety rules and procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of a HNC Electrical Engineering qualification.
  • Senior Authorised Person up to and including 33kV as defined by the Distribution Safety Rules.
  • Experience in distribution systems through the range 400v to 33kV.
  • Excellent customer focus skills, with the ability to add value to customers and deliver projects to their expectations.
  • Strong team working skills, with the ability to manage and integrate well within a team.
