Revenue and Benefits Manager

About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Revenues and Benefits Control Team, ensuring that the service is delivered in accordance with legislative requirements, the division's Service Plan, and policy requirements. This will involve working closely with managers across the council and external providers to develop and deliver efficient services.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the Control Team to deliver the service in accordance with legislative requirements, the division's Service Plan, and policy requirements.
- Develop and implement efficient services in conjunction with managers across the council and external providers.
- Oversee the management of the Council's IT providers, ensuring batch jobs and the document imaging system are operational.
- Be responsible for system testing and provide training on new software and releases as required.
- High level knowledge of Council Tax and/or Business Rates IT Systems.
- High level knowledge of monitoring contracts measuring performance.
- Monitoring targets, performance, and analysing statistical data for the purpose of producing management reports.
- Experience producing test plans and testing new systems and releases for compliance against service needs and legislative requirements.
- A competitive hourly rate of £84.
