About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Oliver House School. As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will work with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for our young people with mild, moderate, and severe autistic spectrum disorders and associated complex learning needs.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for progressing the SaLT specific therapeutic services, working collaboratively with other professionals and services to meet the needs of our children and young people.

With a holistic and integrated approach to care, education, and clinical services, you will contribute to staff training, consultation, and reflective practice. You will also be part of a well-established multi-disciplinary team that maintains a nurturing and supportive environment where our young people can flourish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for our young people
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals and services to meet the needs of our children and young people
  • Contribute to staff training, consultation, and reflective practice
  • Participate in a multi-disciplinary team that maintains a nurturing and supportive environment

Requirements

  • Recognised and relevant Speech and Language qualification
  • Registered with HCPC
  • Relevant SaLT experience working as a Therapist, including working with the specific client group or related field
  • Experience of representing speech and language therapy in the context of multi-disciplinary working and multi-agency treatment and care
  • Experience of reviewing and developing therapy standards, policies, and procedures
  • Clear and concise report writing
