CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Nurse Specialist

About the Role
The post holder will be a member of the multi-disciplinary CAMHS team, responsible for providing mental health assessments and interventions for children, adolescents, and families using evidence-based interventions for neurodevelopmental disorders and other mental health difficulties.
Main Responsibilities
To ensure high-quality CAMHS assessments of children and families referred to the service.
To monitor and review young people, including recording physical observations in the ADHD Clinic.
To complete initial assessments with young people referred, including assessment planning, implementation, and evaluation of various therapeutic approaches, either alone or as a member of the MDT, and including medication/physical reviews for those on medications.
Requirements
NMC mental health nursing qualification and registration, together with significant post-qualification experience in mental health services to postgraduate diploma level.
Experience of case management of young people, multi-agency working, and knowledge and experience of neurodevelopmental disorders are essential.
