CNC Machinist

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team at Reflect Recruitment Group. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting and operating 5-axis CNC machines to produce precision-engineering components.

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £25-£35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating 5-axis CNC machines to produce precision-engineering components
• Using Siemen controls to adjust settings and applying any programming skills
• Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to ensure every part meets exact standards
• Performing precision tasks such as milling, drilling and turning on heavy-duty components
• Conducting quality checks with tools like micrometres and callipers

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in 5-axis CNC machines (Siemen control systems experience preferred)
• Basic CNC programming skills to teak and optimise machine processes is preferred
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings with excellent attention to detail
• A proactive problem-solver who's comfortable working in a fast-paced workshop environment
• Formal Qualifications are preferred, ideally Level 1 as a minimum – must have a knowledge of health and safety and be able to read from drawings

Benefits

• Hours: Monday to Friday Days Initially 7am to 3:30pm, with some lates 3:30pm to 2am with shift allowance
• Probation Period: Initial 3-month probation period to ensure the role is the right fit for you
