Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in 5-axis CNC machines and be able to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting and operating 5-axis CNC machines to produce precision-engineering components
  • Using Siemen controls to adjust settings and applying any programming skills
  • Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to ensure every part meets exact standards
  • Performing precision tasks such as milling, drilling and turning on heavy-duty components
  • Conducting quality checks with tools like micrometres and callipers

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in 5-axis CNC machines (Siemen control systems experience preferred)
  • Basic CNC programming skills to teak and optimise machine processes is preferred
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings with excellent attention to detail
  • A proactive problem-solver who's comfortable working in a fast-paced workshop environment
  • Formal Qualifications are preferred, ideally Level 1 as a minimum – must have a knowledge of health and safety and be able to read from drawings

  • Initial 3-month probation period to ensure the role is the right fit for you
  • 20 days plus bank holidays, increasing by one day with each year of service (up to 25 days)
