Analog IC Design Lead Position

This is an opportunity for an Analog IC Design Lead to join a successful and established company involved in the design of high-speed Analog and Mixed Signal ICs for the data communications market.

The company currently seeks an Analog IC design Lead engineer and in this role, you will take a Principal role within a world-class IC development team. This team develops transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs) and laser driver ICs, fundamental to the growth of data centers, 5G wireless, and fiber to the home.

Responsibilities
  • Delivering designs on time to a high quality
  • Work closely with other functional groups within the project core team
  • Take on a lead role for chip development with full ownership of critical subsystems
  • Delivering new and innovative solutions
  • Communicate and present complex work in a clear and professional manner
  • Writing reports and presenting to senior management
  • Supervision and mentoring of junior engineers.

A solid understanding is required in Analog/Mixed Signal IC Design in BiCMOS and/or CMOS. Experience is preferable in high-speed multi-gigabit design in optoelectronic products, i.e., laser drivers or transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs). RF (10GHz +) Analog circuit design experience is of interest.

The successful applicant will have 15+ years of experience in Analog IC Design, preferably for optical applications, with experience of low-power amplifier design up to 25GHz and beyond. You will have a proven track record of taking high-performance, high-speed IC designs from concept through to volume production, with a successful commercial outcome. Strong Cadence IC design flow and tools experience is required.

Good communication skills are required, along with team spirit and self-motivation. A very attractive package will be offered to the successful candidate.
