Freight Personnel is seeking an experienced Air Freight Import Specialist to join our team in Birmingham. As an Air Freight Import Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and building relationships with customers to ensure a high level of service is provided.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and build relationships with customers to ensure a high level of service is provided.
  • Ensure freight is moved on time with all necessary documentation.
  • Arrange haulage with shipping lines.
  • Ensure all air freight is invoiced and checked prior to dispatch.
  • Ensure all relevant documents are on hand as required.
  • Resolve and action requests and queries quickly and efficiently.
  • Communicate with overseas agents, customers, and suppliers in a clear and precise manner.
  • Use customer ERP and SAP systems as required.
Requirements:
  • Experience of air imports freight forwarding.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet fixed deadlines.
  • Strong numerical and commercial skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent usage of computer/operating system (Microsoft Windows) and other office applications (Microsoft Office).
