Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transport Administrator to join our team at Right Now Recruitment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and efficient use of resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Management: Plan and schedule orders on our in-house system, managing inventory and ensuring stock availability.
  • Haulage Fleet Management: Utilize Maximo (IBM) to manage and optimize the use of our haulage fleet.
  • Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and drivers, ensuring prompt communication and resolution of issues.
  • Database Integrity: Maintain the accuracy and integrity of our internal database, ensuring seamless order processing and delivery.
  • Route Planning: Plan and optimize routes for our company fleet, focusing on cost and efficiency.
  • Transport Monitoring: Monitor the progression of transports, advising clients at agreed milestones and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Goods Receipt: Ensure that our Goods-In team receives the correct quantities of ordered materials.

Requirements:

  • Attention to Detail: Previous experience in order management and attention to detail.
  • Logistics Experience: Previous experience in logistics, transport, or fleet management.
  • Scheduling Experience: Experience in scheduling materials and managing inventory.
  • Geographical Knowledge: Good geographical knowledge or scheduling/route planning experience.
  • Driver's License: Full UK driver's license due to the nature of the role and travel required.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage your own time and use your initiative.
  • Flexibility: Flexible nature and strong work ethic.
