Dental Clinical Supervisor Opportunity

We are pleased to offer a unique opportunity for a Dental Clinical Supervisor to support a first-of-its-kind training scheme in collaboration with the NHS ICB teams.

This role is ideally suited for colleagues wishing to reduce their direct clinical commitments and support teaching and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical supervision and support to overseas qualified dentists in a general dental practice environment.
  • Liaise with the mydentist clinical team about the progress and abilities of the dentists.
  • Assess and grade the treatment provided and professionalism of the dentists for the purposes of meeting their clinical requirements.
  • Maintain skills, competencies, and required continued professional development appropriate for general practice and the support of dentists.
  • Liaise with the practice manager for the satisfactory integration of dentists into the practice.

Requirements:

  • Full GDC registration as a dentist or specialist and active NHS performer number.
  • Minimum 4 years post-qualification experience as a general dentist.
  • Previous experience in teaching or mentoring is desirable.
