Job Description

Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our dedicated technology team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for delivering solutions to business requirements, working closely with 3rd party vendors, architects, and project managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provision and configure Azure infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Monitor and log Azure infrastructure, guaranteeing the effective operation of key services such as backups and security products.
  • Develop and implement effective troubleshooting practices, improving stability and performance, and optimising the company's IT environment.
  • Plan and implement infrastructure and system updates, incorporating new hardware and software elements into the existing IT environment.
  • Act as a technical lead on infrastructure projects and problem escalation, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with the Infrastructure Manager to develop and support the IT infrastructure, encompassing on-premise servers, storage, networking, security, and cloud services.
  • Provide 3rd line support for incidents and complex requests escalated from the service delivery team.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep or Terraform.
  • Proven expertise in deploying resources within Azure.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft's Azure suite of services, including configuration, setup, and testing of IP services.
  • Experience with deployment scripts and Azure VMs.
  • Good knowledge of Network fundamentals, including LAN/WAN, MPLS, ExpressRoute, Azure WAN, IPVPN, and network integration with cloud services.
  • A deep understanding of IT infrastructure, including building and deploying cloud infrastructures.
  • Experience in delivering IT incident and problem management activities.
  • A good understanding of enterprise IT services and the ability to assess the business and technical impact of changes to IT services.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and Azure DevOps.
