Our client is a leading organisation in the Industrial/Manufacturing sector, renowned for its robust and well-established presence.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our dedicated technology team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with 3rd party vendors, architects, and project managers to deliver solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Provisioning and configuring Azure infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Monitoring and logging Azure infrastructure, guaranteeing the effective operation of key services such as backups and security products.
  • Developing effective troubleshooting practices, improving stability and performance, and optimising the company's IT environment.
  • Planning infrastructure and system updates, and implementing new elements - both hardware and software - into the existing IT environment.
  • Acting as a technical lead on infrastructure projects and problem escalation.
  • Supporting the Infrastructure Manager with the development and support of the IT infrastructure, encompassing the full infrastructure stack, including on-premise servers, storage, networking, security, and cloud.
  • Providing 3rd line support for incidents and complex requests escalated from the service delivery.
The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Technical skills in IaC using Bicep (or Terraform) and experience with deployment of resources within Azure.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft's Azure suite of services and experience with configuration, setup, and testing of IP services.
  • Familiarity with the use of deployment scripts and deployment of Azure VMs.
  • Good knowledge of Network, including LAN/WAN, MPLS, ExpressRoute, Azure WAN, IPVPN, and network integration with cloud services.
  • A deep knowledge of IT infrastructure, including building and deploying cloud infrastructures.
  • Experience of delivering IT incident and problem management activities.
  • A good understanding of enterprise IT services and ability to assess the business and technical impact of changes to IT services.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and Azure DevOps.
