Join our team at Google DeepMind as a Sustainability Researcher and contribute to the development of novel AI methods for environmental sustainability. You will work on designing, implementing, and evaluating models and software prototypes for sustainability-related problems.
About the Team

Our team is part of the Sustainability Program, which aims to revolutionize environmental sustainability with AI. We conduct fundamental research that develops novel AI methods and translates research advances into real-world applications and products.


Responsibilities
  1. Design, implement, and evaluate models and software prototypes for sustainability-related problems.
  2. Collaborate with the team to develop and apply AI solutions for environmental sustainability.
  3. Communicate research findings and developments effectively to stakeholders.

Requirements
  • PhD or equivalent experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, computer science, or comparable technical domain.
  • Experience with machine learning architectures, learned simulation, fluid dynamics, complex systems, combinatorial optimization, probabilistic modeling, and domain expertise in relevant sustainability problems.
  • Potential for leadership in identifying, planning, and executing key research directions.
