Warehouse Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the receiving, warehousing, and distribution of goods, as well as ensuring the smooth operation of our parcel locker system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and value-adding servicing operations
  • Ensure the warehouse team correctly designates goods and maintains a safe and productive work environment
  • Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements
  • People management responsibilities, including work rotas, coaching, and motivating the warehouse team

Requirements:

  • Proven supervisory experience in a small to medium warehouse environment
  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practice
  • Strong communication and detail orientation skills
  • Hands-on experience with Warehouse management software and databases

Working Conditions:

The job has reduced physical involvement compared to other warehouse roles, with a focus on more office-based activities. However, basic manual handling will still be required as well as being able to oversee the warehouse floor which will involve periods of walking or standing.
