SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity

Vision Teaching is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Islington. This is a long-term, full-time role that requires a strong commitment to supporting a Year 2 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work in a one-to-one capacity with the pupil, providing individualized support and assistance to help them reach their full potential. The role will involve working closely with the class teacher and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to the pupil with ASD needs
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson planning and delivery
  • Help to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with the pupil, teachers, and other support staff
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A strong understanding of ASD and its impact on learning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid enhanced DBS subscription and UK residency
