Exciting Opportunity for SEN Teaching Assistants

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a secondary school in Islington. This full-time role offers standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, with paid to scale holiday in half terms and summer breaks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to students with SEN in a classroom setting
  • Assist in implementing individual education plans for students
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to create a supportive learning environment
  • Engage students in educational activities and assist with their learning and development
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team

This role offers the chance for career progression and a valuable kickstart into the education industry. We are looking for individuals with a heart for supporting students with Special Educational Needs, particularly those with Autism. Candidates with experience and knowledge of SEN, including Autism (mild to severe), are encouraged to apply.

Previous experience working 1:1 or in small groups with children is essential. Experience with PECS or Phonics would be highly advantageous. If you are a motivated and caring individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with SEN, we would love to hear from you.
