About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Kerry's Coleraine site. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing plants, performing planned and reactive maintenance, and driving reliability improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the 4 manufacturing plants with 12-hour shift coverage, including days, nights, and weekends.
  • Carry out detailed planned maintenance work in line with PPM schedules.
  • Perform reactive repairs to maintain plant uptime and efficiency.
  • Conduct fault finding and root cause analysis to resolve issues.
  • Drive reliability improvements across the site through proactive maintenance and optimization.
  • Controlled shutdown and startup of equipment.
  • Be involved in new installations, commissioning, and ramp-up activities.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and booking out of spare items from stock.
  • Support the site energy reduction team in reducing CO2 and TTO emissions.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Operations teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Perform PTW and LOTOTO for safe methods of work.
Requirements
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a maintenance role.
  • Time-served apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronic maintenance discipline.
  • Food safety or manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong mechanical or electrical knowledge, with dual-skilled preferable.
  • Working knowledge of PLC control systems.
  • Good time management and communication skills.
