Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our team. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the construction programme, managing and minimizing construction costs, and fostering and maintaining good working relationships with clients and their representatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize the construction programme to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Manage and minimize construction costs to ensure profitability.
  • Foster and maintain good working relationships with clients and their representatives.
  • Lead, motivate, and monitor the site team to ensure effective project execution.
  • Lead safety management on site for all activities, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Liaise with consultants and subcontractors as necessary.
  • Introduce improvements and innovation where appropriate to areas of responsibility.
  • Check drawings and specifications.
  • Schedule materials for ordering from the procurement department.
  • Ensure quality records are maintained as necessary to meet quality requirements.
  • Resolve unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
  • Liaise with other function/departmental managers.
  • Prepare and evaluate risk assessments and method statements for works.

Requirements

  • Formal qualification in Civil Engineering, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
  • Expected job role level of competency: HND, B.Eng, or M.Eng.
  • Site experience years.
  • Management experience: 2 years minimum.
  • Willingness to undertake travel across the UK where appropriate.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Valid UK driving license.
