Role Overview

The team is seeking a seasoned legal professional to join their regulatory team as a Partner. This role is ideal for someone with a robust understanding of financial regulations, credible market presence, and the ability to independently generate and manage client work.

Main Duties

Key responsibilities for this position will include:

  • Regulatory Expertise: Handle both contentious and non-contentious regulatory matters, including enforcement actions, tribunal dealings, and board-level advisory.
  • Client Relations: Maintain and build relationships with key stakeholders, including financial institutions and regulatory bodies such as the FCA.
  • Training and Mentorship: Provide training to clients on market abuse, FCA dealings, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
  • Experience: This role would suit someone who has previously held a Partnership-level position within a regulation team at a law firm. Demonstrable ability to command respect and trust at board level and with regulatory authorities.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of financial regulations, including authorizations, enforcement actions, and compliance.
