Project Coordinator Job Description

Canadian Solar Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Coordinator to join our team in England. As a Project Coordinator, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of energy storage projects, working closely with our project management teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist project management teams with coordination of project-related activities, including tracking client submittal obligations and managing vendor commitments.
  • Develop and communicate project status updates in a clear and concise manner, ensuring effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage communication flow for contract submittals, project reporting, invoicing, and other documentation between customer, project team, and suppliers.
  • Liaise with internal and external project stakeholders on an ongoing basis, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Support subcontractor operations daily through coordination and scheduling, taking ownership of the subcontractor schedule and ensuring a smooth customer experience.
  • Identify critical path requirements to achieve tasks and manage until completion, problem-solving unique situations as they arise.
  • Actively participate in developing and maintaining online business management tools used for project development and execution.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and assist in creating and revising processes to ensure better efficiency and client experience.
  • Support procurement manager in developing requests for proposals and contract exhibits.
  • Monitor project status to ensure documentation is submitted according to schedule, reviewing and verifying project documents for completeness, format, and compliance with contract requirements.
  • Submit project proposals and documentation to management for approval and transmit approved documents to the customer.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline from a university or college.
  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Solid and effective interpersonal and communication skills, including oral, written, and visual.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with acute awareness and ability to manage deadlines.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Proficient with Scheduling in MS Project (P6 would be an asset).
  • Knowledge of working on Smartsheet, Autodesk would be an added asset.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail a must.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated independent thinking, initiative, and creativity.
  • Ability to function successfully both independently and within a team.
  • Demonstrated professional appearance and conduct.
  • Ability to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends) as required.
  • Valid Driver's license is a must.
  • 50% travel to project sites may be required.
