Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Manager to join our team at Serco Plc, responsible for overseeing the delivery of catering services at HMP Dovegate. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to work in a dynamic environment, managing kitchen operations and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To assist the Catering & Retail Manager in the delivery of catering services, maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • To manage kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory control.
  • To ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, implementing effective measures to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment.
  • To provide training and supervision to kitchen staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • To perform regular quality checks, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

This is a permanent, full-time position, requiring a strong commitment to delivering exceptional results. Requirements:
  • City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or equivalent NVQ in Food Preparation and Production.
  • Literacy and Numeracy Level 2 or equivalent GCSE.
  • Food Safety level 3.
  • Awareness of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP).
  • Awareness of Allergen Control within Catering.
