About the Role

This senior nurse leader position is crucial in ensuring the effective delivery of safeguarding services for children within our organisation. The post holder will provide expert guidance on safeguarding practices, contribute to policy development, and engage in multi-agency working to improve outcomes for children.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in child safeguarding and protection roles, with a strong understanding of statutory frameworks, including Working Together to Safeguard Children (2023) and Intercollegiate Document for the roles and competencies for healthcare staff (2019).

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement evidence-based safeguarding children training programs.
  2. Liaise with wards, departments, and external agencies to lead on safeguarding children practice.
  3. Contribute to strategic planning, participating in multi-agency partnership groups, and inform the Safeguarding Senior Leadership Team about practice changes and resource implications.
