Senior Cyber Security Manager Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Cyber Security Manager to join our team. As a key member of the Police Digital Services team, you will be responsible for leading our Cyber Detect Service, accountable for detecting activities, quality, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve detection activities and overall service quality.
  • Collaborate with NMC services to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Responsible for the value and efficiency of the service and the team working within it.
  • Accountable for the evolution and development of the PM service.
  • Responsible for quality of the PM service and contribute to custom tooling design and delivery.
  • Collaborate with other NMC services for seamless integration.
  • Engage with senior internal and external stakeholders to represent and deliver the performance and value of the Cyber Detect Team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced operational security environment.
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and drive a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of various security methodologies and processes.
  • Experience with Cyber Security tools and products.
  • Ability to apply processes to incidents and investigations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Estimated salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum.
  • 28 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to 30 days after 5 years of service.
