Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the Consultant On Call rota and provide on-call advice to primary care and the multidisciplinary team
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with diverse mental health needs
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to relevant policies and guidelines
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in peer review activities
- Engage in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and research findings in community mental health
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a strong foundation in psychiatry, including full GMC registration, licensure to practice, and inclusion on the Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within six months. Additionally, candidates should hold Section 12 approval and AC status, both of which must be obtained within three months of commencing employment. Relevant experience in community mental health settings is essential, as is a keen understanding of the complexities involved in providing effective care to individuals with diverse needs.
