About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Briggs Equipment Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend customer locations to assess and agree on work priorities, ensuring safe working practices are adhered to.
  • Liaise with customers and internal teams to provide clarity on expected work, timescales, and costs.
  • Identify root causes of equipment breakdowns and obtain necessary parts in a cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure all work complies with engineering standards and company specifications.
  • Carry out inspections and checks on own work, ensuring equipment is safe and performs satisfactorily before handing it back to customers.
  • Identify additional work required on equipment and inform customers, maximizing potential revenue.
  • Complete all related job and service documentation accurately, obtaining necessary signatures and documents from customers.
Requirements
  • Relevant technical qualification.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical principles.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize workload.
  • Understanding of customer needs.
