Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst - New Categories in Globe House, London on a Fixed-Term contract (6 months). As part of our New Categories Finance team, you will be responsible for supporting the development of New Categories Cost of Sales (COS) reporting and ensuring it is embedded within business as usual (BAU) processes and reporting. You will also develop and embed tracking tools for savings delivered through our COS and provide general finance support to the team using specialist skills including understanding and application of respective techniques.


Key Responsibilities:
  • New Categories (NC)
  • Support the development of NC Cost of Sales (COS) reporting and ensure it is embedded within business as usual (BAU) processes and reporting
  • Develop and embed tracking tools for savings delivered through our COS
  • Support in developing fit-for-purpose tools to enable timely, transparent, and accurate view of financials
  • Providing general finance support to the team using specialist skills including understanding and application of respective techniques
  • Support with Product Costing, interact with multifunctional groups to produce BAU and New Product COGS
  • Financial Management of Opex, CAPEX with analysis of Actuals vs Forecast

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Basic industry understanding
  • Basic financial modelling understanding
  • Advanced Excel user / Familiar with PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with the key financial statements – PL, BS, Cash Flow
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to solve challenges in a logical way
  • Ability to think critically
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to work in a team-oriented mind-set
  • A self-starter able to operate with limited need for close supervision or guidance
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships
  • Ideally initial past professional experience (from tobacco industry, logistics companies)

Salary Range:

The estimated salary range for this position is £25,000-£35,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. This is a competitive compensation package that reflects the value we place on our employees' skills and contributions.
