About the Role

Hays PLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant at a PRU school in Lichfield. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students who require additional guidance and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide targeted support and guidance to students who may display challenging behaviors.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Assist with classroom preparation, including setting up materials and resources.
  • Lead group work sessions to promote social skills and teamwork.
  • Conduct pupil observations to inform teaching staff of student progress.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with students in a PRU setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Patience and empathy when dealing with students facing challenging circumstances.
