Job Title: Regional Facilities Manager

Location: North of England and Scotland

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: GBP48,000 to GBP53,000, plus car allowance

Job Summary

The Regional Facilities Manager will be responsible for overseeing the transformation and profitable operation of an integrated facilities management service contract. This multi-location contract will involve managing a cluster of sites across the North of England and Scotland, requiring travel and overnight stays.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the Transition and Delivery of Facilities Management Services: Ensure the consistent, safe, and profitable service delivery of all IFM services to allocated sites, providing mutual support to business managers in other clusters/regions/contracts as needed.
  • Manage Multiple Projects: Use previous experience to ensure on-time delivery of all aspects of this multi-faceted contract, ensuring compliance with strategic objectives, budgetary and commercial commitments, and applicable employment legislation.
  • Ensure Continuous Improvement: Proactively manage continuous improvement in the delivery of both self-delivered and subcontracted services, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and/or quality improvement.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Attend regular Customer project meetings, in person or virtually as required, and report on performance.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all statutory and Company policies and procedures, including all aspects of Health and Safety, Quality, Purchasing, HR, Payroll, etc. Maintain an in-depth understanding of performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), producing and delivering reports and presentations to management and customers.
  • Site Visits and Relationship Building: Visit customer operations sites regularly, as required based on site size and service scope, to own and develop customer relationships within the assigned region and across the account.
  • FM and Industry Intelligence: Employ FM and related industry intelligence and own initiative to generate ideas for improvement opportunities, preparing and presenting business cases for initiatives which appear viable and add value.
  • Staff Competence and Development: Ensure that all staff have the required competence to undertake their roles, liaising with managers to identify the effective delivery of training and development programmes.
Requirements
  • Experience in Facilities Management: Experience in delivery of facilities management services (soft and hard)
  • Operations Management: Experience of managing operations at multiple sites
  • Customer Engagement: History of positive customer engagement
  • Commercial Awareness: Awareness of commercial mechanisms in Facilities Management outsourcing
  • Cost Control and Budget Management: Experience in controlling costs and managing budgets
  • Customer-Facing Environment: Experience of working in a customer-facing environment
  • Requirements Scoping and Delivery: Experience of scoping customer requirements and delivering against standards
  • Operational Processes: Experience of working to and developing operational processes
  • Health and Safety Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • Leadership and Team Management: Experience of leading and managing teams and individuals
  • HR Knowledge: Knowledge of HR policies and procedures
Desirable Qualifications
  • FM Technologies: Experience in the use of FM technologies (CAFM, CMMS etc)
  • Project Management: Project management experience
  • Asset Registration and Management: Knowledge of asset registration and asset management principles
  • Data Interpretation and Reporting: Capable of interpreting and accurately and clearly reporting data
