Publicity Officer

Join Duckworth as a Publicity Officer and be part of a dynamic team promoting quality non-fiction and literary fiction.
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to manage our social media channels, organise book trade events, and support in-house publicity campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain our social media presence across Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and Facebook.
- Organise and coordinate book trade events to promote our authors and brand.
- Support the lead publicist in developing and executing publicity campaigns.
- Identify and pursue promotional opportunities, creating effective pitches and reports.
- Build and maintain relationships with media contacts, generating publicity updates and reports.
- Record and track press, radio, and TV coverage.
- Perform general administrative tasks related to publicity, including mail distribution and database maintenance.
Requirements:
- At least 1-2 years of publicity experience.
- Social media proficiency, confident communication skills, and good knowledge of press and media outlets.
- Ability to source and organise information effectively, show initiative, and attention to detail.
- Multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
We offer:
- A 9-month contract, 4-5 days per week, with minimum 2 days per week at our offices in Richmond-on-Thames.
- Flexible working hours and homeworking options.
- A competitive salary range of £26,000-£28,000 pro rata, depending on experience.
