About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Systems Engineer to join our team at Gold Group Ltd. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, building, integrating, and supporting HVAC systems for our clients in the defence manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct complex technical analyses and investigations to evaluate and select technical options, and prepare reports with suggested recommendations to support the resolution of problems and the improvement of engineering capability.
  • Take ownership of scope within your role and make engineering decisions within your sphere of responsibility.
  • Prepare specifications, develop designs in line with specifications and all quality and technical standards, and carry out design appraisals in assigned areas to ensure all standards are maintained.
  • Act as main point of contact with customers and/or suppliers in assigned areas on engineering matters, to resolve relatively complex problems and issues and to maintain awareness in both parties of priorities and objectives.
  • Participate fully in developing, maintaining and modifying engineering processes and procedures in assigned areas in response to technical developments and operational need.
  • Develop the team through the L&D and performance management process, identifying training and development requirements and skill gaps.
Requirements
  • Experience and expertise in Marine Engineering Systems, Defence or similar industry sector.
  • Experience in the design, build, integration, support and operation of HVAC Systems.
  • Knowledge of processes and tools used in Marine Engineering.
  • Experience in Naval Ships.
  • Understanding of how marine engineering integrates into other technologies and products.
  • Commercial Awareness.
