Reporting to an Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for reviewing and approving engineering queries from the site Contractor concerning the electrical scope across CI/BOP and Nuclear Island buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to general queries, non-conformances, change requests, and exemption requests from the MEH Contractor with support from the Responsible Designer or site experts as needed.
  • Provide oversight to ensure nuclear safety and environmental regulation requirements are met.
  • Challenge design decisions to align engineering and design with project strategy.
  • Assist in coordinating support from external organisations.
  • Contribute to the resolution and closure of open points.
  • Assess and address technical risks.
  • Maintain strong relationships with EDF EPR Engineering (Responsible Designer).
  • Report operationally to an Engineering Lead.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in electrical design, installation, and commissioning, along with the ability to apply multi-disciplinary technical knowledge within the nuclear industry.
  • Proficient in electrical design, installation, and commissioning.
  • Knowledge of construction, installation, and Health & Safety legislation, including CDM and Nuclear Site License requirements.
  • Proactive, independent approach with the ability to escalate and report issues.
  • Ability to challenge design decisions to ensure alignment with project strategy.
  • Coordination of external support as needed.
  • Contribution to the resolution and closure of Open Points.
  • Assessment and mitigation of technical risk.
