Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to join our team at IC Service & Maintenance. As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing maintenance contracts, providing technical advice to clients, and repairing and maintaining security systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Servicing of maintenance contracts in accordance with company operating procedures
  • Act as technical advisor to the client and report any issues affecting safe operation of the systems
  • Repair and maintain systems identifying and replacing defective parts
  • Diagnose and repair faults
  • Test installations in accordance with manufacturers guidelines
  • Travel between sites to respond to emergency call outs providing solutions and carrying out any remedial works
  • Have advanced knowledge in Access Control, Intruder Alarm, CCTV & Door Entry Systems
  • Report defects to client or maintenance managers – including completing work sheets via a tablet
  • Other duties as required

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years previous experience working as a Security Engineer within the industry and extensive knowledge of different types of systems
  • Good working knowledge of a wide range of control panels
  • Must be able to work independently and safely
  • Reliable, tenacious and adaptable
  • Methodical and logical problem solving abilities
  • Able to plan and prioritise work load
  • Able to apply general rules to specific problems
  • Excellent communicator

Competitive salary and access to overtime hours. The successful candidate will be security screened to BS7858 and will be required to hold a full UK driving licence.
