Babcock International Group is seeking a skilled Site Facility Supervisor to join our team at our Walsall site. As a Site Facility Supervisor, you will play a critical role in maintaining the hygiene standards and housekeeping of our busy automotive production environment.

The Role

As a Site Facility Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the daily activities of two facility operatives, ensuring that tasks are completed effectively and consistently. You will also collaborate with the facility engineering team to address technical repairs and maintenance issues, ensuring a cohesive approach to facility management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and direction to two facility operatives, ensuring that tasks are completed effectively and consistently
  • Collaborate with the facility engineering team to address technical repairs and maintenance issues, ensuring a cohesive approach to facility management
  • Manage on-site waste, including wood, cardboard, and waste metals, ensuring proper disposal and adherence to environmental regulations
  • Manage direct report leave requests and training requirements
  • Work alongside the team and get involved with the organisation and cleaning tasks

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Competent computer skills
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a facilities, industrial or similar environment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and management
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions proactively

Qualifications

You will need to have a full UK driving licence and a completed relevant managerial Health and Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH, British Safety Council) is desirable.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
