Job Title: Proving Test Technician

We are seeking a skilled Proving Test Technician to join our team at RHL. As a key member of our fabrication and welding team, you will be responsible for installing and testing powertrains on large commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and test powertrains on various commercial vehicles, including hydraulic excavators, backhoe loaders, and telehandlers.
  • Work with engineers to install prototype, pilot, and production powertrains into machines.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on powertrains and machines.
  • Manufacture parts from drawings using in-house facilities, including machining, welding, and fabrication.
  • Produce electrical looms to interface powertrains and machines.
  • Travel to off-site test and development facilities, both company-owned and third-party.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic or mechanical fitter with knowledge of welding and fabrication.
  • Good knowledge of instrumentation and its application within the manufacturing process.
  • Experience with hand power tools, lifting equipment, and welding equipment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and follow documented standard work procedures.

  • A competitive hourly rate of £16-20 per hour, depending on experience.
  • 25 days of holiday per year, plus bank holidays.
  • A pension scheme available after 3 months of employment.
